Use these cards to play sorting games as well as to generate vocabulary for every letter of the alphabet. Long A Vowel Team Bundle
Use this bundle to help your students practice the long a vowel teams of a_e, ai and ay. There are word bank cards included to use in a pocket chart or to play your favorite phonics games. There are also 8 teacher big books in color to be used during shared language as a modeling tool. Then there are 8 matching student books that can be used for independent practice. Also included are 8 matching writing response sheets. In addition there is a roll and read game for each vowel team too. Each game includes 6 color coded game boards.

Long A Vowel Team Fluency Fun
This file will help your students practice the long a vowel teams of a_e, ai and ay. There are word cards included to use to play your favorite phonics sorting games. You can also use the word cards at a word work center or partner center. Have students read the words and then complete the exit slip included by writing their favorite 6 words with that vowel team pattern.
Also included is a game called Read Your Long A Vowel Words As Fast As You Can! Use this game to engage your students in explicit reading practice focused on the long vowel teams. Word Chunks 1
This is not your typical worksheet pack. Use these materials to bundle CCSS literacy learning in your classroom! Your students will burst with pride when they use these emergent readers to learn to read and write using and making CVC words. Since CVC word practice is embedded within a book format students practice their reading, writing, speaking and listening! This activity aligns with more than 30 common core standards each time you use these books and will inspire reading and writing enthusiasm. Be sure to laminate the color books to use for teacher whole group modeling so that you can use them over and over again. Then encourage students to use the targeted CVC word in meaningful print experiences in their individual books. Success is ensured by first having students trace the key CVC word followed by repeated reading opportunities. This scaffolded support eventually results in students reading and writing the targeted CVC words independently. ABC Fiction and Nonfiction Writing Response Sheets
Use these writing sheets to help your students write about each letter of the alphabet. There is a key picture and word to help students get started. It does not matter which order you use them in as they can supplement any curriculum. You can choose to implement the fiction or the nonfiction page for each letter or even to do both depending upon the needs of your students. When writing the fiction story students should include the name of their character, describe the setting and plot. The nonfiction writing should include facts about the topic. Such exposure will encourage growth in the variety of their sentence structure. These writing sheets align with the ELA Language Common Core Standards( K.L.2a-d) Be sure to encourage students to illustrate their writing too.
